1. Saint Gennaro Square in Vettica Maggiore
As I mentioned, Praiano is home to what is one of the most extraordinary squares on the Amalfi Coast: it is Piazza San Gennaro, in the hamlet of Vettica Maggiore. From here the view is superb: the sea of the Coast stretches as far as the eye can see, and you can even make out the island of Capri. In addition, the square is decorated with geometric designs and colorful majolica tiles; it is also the place where one of the coolest events of the Amalfi Coast takes place, namely the Luminaria di San Domenico.

2. Saint Gennaro's Church
The square is overlooked by what is the symbolic church of the town of Praiano, the church of Saint Gennaro. Its majolica dome, decorated with white and blue rhombuses and divided by gold-colored ribs, is truly unparalleled.

3. Gavitella Cove
Reachable on foot from Piazza San Gennaro via narrow streets and a staircase of about 400 steps, Gavitella Beach is characterized by its crystal clear sea and the presence of the sun until sunset.

4. Praia Marina
If, on the other hand, you are looking for a more intimate beach, Marina di Praia is the one for you. Set among the rocks, it is lit by the sun only during the central hours of the day. The white pebble beach and the presence of fishermen's boats make it a very authentic and characteristic place.

5. Saint Dominic's Monastery
The Monastery of Saint Dominic, attached to the Church of Santa Maria a Castro, is located on the slopes of Mount S. Angelo at Tre Pizzi. It dates back to the end of the 16th century and from its elevated position one can admire Vettica Maggiore, Positano, the islands of “Li Galli” and Capri.

6. Saint Luke Evangelist's Church
The Church of St. Luke the Evangelist has a Baroque layout and is dedicated to the patron saint of Praiano. It dates back to the 16th century and has a three-story bell tower. The 1789 majolica floor is of considerable value and depicts flowers, birds and in the center the image of St. Luke, shown in the act of painting.
