My advice is to arrive at Marina Grande beach at sunset. That’s when the pastel colors of the houses are still visible and, at the same time, the lights of the village begin to come on: a virtually perfect backdrop for your proposal! Otherwise, you can choose a rooftop terrace with a view of the sea: I’ve described a few here, if you’d like some inspiration. In any case, Positano is always breathtaking: if you choose to propose here, you definitely won’t go wrong!

Ravello: the most romantic

Nestled in the hills of the Amalfi Coast, in the small village of Ravello, you’ll find two locations that are unmatched anywhere in the world. I’m talking, of course, about Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. These historic residences are the pride of Ravello—and for good reason! Villa Rufolo welcomes you with a Moorish cloister adorned with interlaced arches and a double row of columns, all embellished with plants and flowers, and with marvelous gardens, the result of the genius of Francis Neville Reid, a Scottish philanthropist who oversaw their creation. Right at the end of the path, lined with trees, shrubs, and flower beds, lies an incredible terrace overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, from which you can see the view that has made Ravello famous worldwide: the iconic domes of the Church of the Annunziata, framed by a majestic Italian stone pine.
